26th Annual Upper Gulf Coast Grain Handlers Conference – January 17, 2019

The 26th annual Upper Gulf Coast Grain Handlers Conference will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the El Campo Civic Center. Kicking off with registration at 7:30am, the program will begin at 8:30 am and should conclude around 3:30 pm. A catered lunch will be provided. Five CEUs will be offered to all TDA pesticide applicators that sign in at the beginning of the meeting and remain through the closing of the program. No structural credits offered.
The cost of the program is $20.00 per person preregistered by January 11th or $25.00 per person at the door. To preregister, please contact the Colorado County Extension Office and we will send a form to you. Program Topics and Speakers Include: Pesticide Laws & Regulations Update – Dr. Don Renchie, Extension Ag and Environmental Safety; Pesticide Resistance in Insects and Insect Identification – Ms. Kate Harrell, IPM Agent; Does a Safety Program Work – James Shepard, Cotton Ginners Trust; and breakout sessions on Bin Cleanout Systems – Michael Bailey, Mole Masters Services Corporation, Aluminum Phosphide Application Procedures – Bill Cohen, Pest Fog Sales and Dick Bigler, Douglas Products and Packaging Company, Grain Facility Maintenance, Speaker TBA; and Reducing Food Allergen Risk – Joe Collins, Riviana Foods .
