2021 Wharton Grain Sorghum Hybrid Trial

This was a replicated, strip trial consisting of 8 commercial corn varieties.  This trial is often referred to as the County Grain Sorghum Plot.  This trial was conducted by Dr. Ron Schnell, Corrie Bowen, and Terry Marek Farms in Pierce, TX.  As you will see, there was no statistical data performed on this test.  The reason being is that all varieties experienced a level of sprouting due to the late June, early July rainfall events.  Although yield data was collected, we understand that yield data from this particular trial in 2021 are not reliable.  Texas A&M AgriLife Extension did collect samples from each variety, within each replication and we had those samples graded.  United Ag Farmers Coop was gracious enough to donated the cost of grading all 24 grain samples.  The results of that data will be available at another date.
