5-CEU Pesticide Recertification Program offered in Wharton County – February 9, 2023

The Wharton County office of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension is happy to announce an opportunity for pesticide license holders to earn five continued education credits (CEUs) toward their TDA pesticide applicators license.

The Wharton County Office of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension will hold their annual 5-CEU program on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the Wharton County Fairgrounds – Crescent Hall in Crescent, TX. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. Program begins at 9:00 a.m. 2-IPM, 1-Laws and Regulations, and 2 General CEUs have been applied for through the Texas Department of Agriculture. Topics and presenters include: Update on Feral Hog Toxicant—Lee Williamson, TPWD Wildlife Biologist; Know Your Pest—Scott Willey, Fayette County Extension Agent; Pesticide Laws and Regulations Update —Corrie Bowen, Wharton County Extension Agent; Right of Way Vegetation Management – Amanda Fowler, TPWD Vegetation Specialist; and Prescribed Burning – Greg Baker, Matagorda County Extension Agent. Cost is $35.00 payable to the Wharton County Row Crops Committee. A lunch meal is included.
