5-CEU Pesticide Recertification Programs offered in Wharton and Matagorda Counties

The Wharton and Matagorda County offices of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension is proud to announce an opportunity for pesticide license holders to earn five continued education credits (CEUs) toward their TDA pesticide applicators license.

 

The Matagorda County Office of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension will hold their annual 5-CEU program on Friday, January 25, 2019 at the Matagorda County Fairgrounds in Bay City, TX.  Registration begins at 8:00 a.m.  Program begins at 9:00 a.m.   2-IPM, 1-General, 1-Laws and Regulations, and 1-Drift Minimization CEUs will be offered.  Topics and presenters include:  Feral Hog Mitigation – Dr. Aaron Sumrall; Minimizing Drift and Avoiding Temperature Inversion – Corrie Bowen; Pesticide Laws and Regulations – Dr. Mark Matocha; Control and Mitigation of the Cactus Moth in Texas – Dr. Barron Rector; Horn and House Fly Control – Dr. Sonja Swiger.  Registration fee is $25/person.  A lunch meal is included.  RSVP by January 24th.  To register and for more information, contact the Matagorda County Extension Office at 979-245-4100.

 

The Wharton County Office of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension will hold their annual 5-CEU program on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the Wharton County Fairgrounds – Crescent Hall in Crescent, TX.  Registration begins at 8:00 a.m.  Program begins at 9:00 a.m.   1-IPM, 3-Laws and Regulations, and 1-Drift Minimization CEUs have been applied for.  Topics and presenters include:  TDA Pesticide Laws and Regulations – Mr. Greg Baker; Right of Way Weed Control in Texas – Amanda Fowler; Ag Equipment and Chemical Transportation Laws and Regulations – Sgt. Reuben San Miguel; Feral Hog Mitigation – Dr. Aaron Sumrall; Minimizing Drift and Avoiding Temperature Inversion – Corrie Bowen.  Cost is $35.00 payable to the Wharton County Row Crops Committee.  A lunch meal is included.  Please register by February 4, 2019 through the AgriLife Extension Wharton County Office at 979-532-3310, or download a flyer and registration form online at http://wharton.agrilife.org
