We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to attend the 2021 Virtual Upper Gulf Coast Grain Handlers Conference, on Thursday, January 21, 2021. In 2020 we have experienced some unprecedented challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the initial planning phases, our committee planned for an in-person event for 2021. However, due to programming guidance from Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, for the safety of our attendees, presenters, and sponsors, we have decided to move the program to a virtual platform for 2021.

An informative and timely program has been planned to provide grain handlers with valuable information. Topics for the 2021 conference include: OSHA Update, Diversifying IPM Programs for Stored Products, How to Be Bug Free, Grain Truck Sanitation to Prevent Contamination, Insect ID, Fall Protection Demo, Insect Management in Stored Grain Facilities, and a Texas Department of Agriculture Pesticide Laws and Regulations Update.

Attached you will find a flyer and pre-registration link for 2021 conference.  Registration will be $20.00 per person and will be accepted through Wednesday, January 20, 2021 by 12 noon.

For your convenience here is a link to register for the conference https://2021ugcghc.eventbrite.com

Five (5) Continuing Education Units will be offered (pending approval from Texas Department of Agriculture) for all licensed pesticide applicators that check in at the beginning of the conference and remain through the conclusion of the day.

For questions or more information regarding this event, please contact the Colorado County Extension Office at 979-732-2082.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Sincerely,
